What is Coaching?

Coaching is an empowering alliance between the coach and the coachee, designed to enhance the lifelong process of human learning, effectiveness and fulfillment. A coach is someone who will help you articulate your goals, define strategies and plans, and hold a vision of success, and then challenge you to achieve your vision. A coach supports clients in being accountable to themselves by monitoring the client’s progress towards implementation of action plans and achievement of goals. Together they modify and evolve the plan to best suit the client's needs. Coaches often act as a human mirror for the client by sharing outside and unbiased perspectives. Coaching is not targeted at psychological illness, and coaches are neither therapists nor consultants.

 

Personal coaching is a relationship which is designed and defined in an agreement between a client and a coach. It is based on the client's expressed interests and objectives. Clients are responsible for their own achievements and success. The client takes action, and the coach may assist – but never leads or does more than the client.

 

What is Transformational Coaching?

Ghadeer is a Transformational Life Coach who incorporates many modalities, including the practical application of spiritual principles and universal truths, to help clients achieve their goals. People experiencing change or transition often want to address deeper convictions about what they believe in and what they want out of life; they want more self-awareness and self-improvement. A transformational coach aims to highlight and bring together all the possibilities that will help clients shape the “visioning” process as they create a plan and execute the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly details.

 

Why Would I Need Coaching?

Generally, people choose to have coaching in order to help them achieve personal happiness and success. This may include: to feel well, to feel the connection to a world larger than themselves,  to release emotions,  to access their heart's intelligence, to uncover and confront their values, to relieve stress, to heal, to identify what really matters to them, to get to know themselves better, to access their voice, to tell the truth, to gain awareness and clarity and focus, to establish healthy boundaries and develop new habits, to learn new technologies that help them let go of negative emotions and limiting beliefs so they can unleash their true potential, to access new levels of courage as they move toward what it is that they desire, to achieve a new sense of balance and well being, and to apply spiritually based life skills in a practical way. 

 

Who Benefits the Most from Coaching?

Almost anyone can benefit from coaching since we all flourish with acknowledgment, support and being championed. However, coaching works best with people who are committed to their growth and development, who desire to create a harmonious life, who are willing to take educated risks, and who are ready to overcome habitual patterns and conditioned responses in thought, emotion and behavior. People who especially benefit are people who want to make a positive difference in the world, who want to cultivate deeper levels of awareness and presence, and who wish to live consciously and purposefully.

 

 

 What Can I Expect in a Session?

A session can take place in person or over the phone, depending on what you prefer and where you are located. Some people prefer to have a combination of both and that is also possible.  A regular session lasts 60 minutes. Longer sessions, up to two or three hours, are available if preferred. (Group sessions are also available.) For individual sessions, clients call the coach at the agreed time, and the content of each session is determined by what the client wants to talk about. By the end of the session, you will typically have more clarity and you may well have an action plan that you will discuss at the following session.

 

How Many Sessions Would I Have? 

For Heal Your Life© coaching, the typical range is a maximum of 2 to 3 months of weekly sessions.

For the MBTI Personality Type Assessment, the maximum is 1 to 2 months of weekly sessions. However, the range is flexible and depends on the individual’s preference. Both HYL© and MBTI are offered as individual coaching sessions or as a workshop.
